Baobab Oil
The African baobab (Adonsonia digitata) is the most well-known of the 9 baobab species. A sacred tree to many cultures. Baobab oil is extracted from the cold-pressed seeds of the fruit and is widely used in the manufacture of cosmetics. It is an oil rich in Omegas 6 and 9, fatty acids, oleic acids, linoleic acids, vitamins, and antioxidants essential for maintaining healthy hair and skin. It is easily absorbed by the hair, acting as an excellent moisturizer, emollient, and lipid replenisher, promoting shine and protecting hair color. On the skin, it acts as an anti-aging agent without leaving a greasy residue, combats stretch marks by improving skin elasticity, and, as a powerful cell regenerator, is used for scars and other applications, such as relieving eczema, psoriasis, burns, chapped lips, and dry skin.
